This Christmas plate is entitled "Heavenly Trio" and was designed by Sr. Berta Hummel and manufactured by Schmid as an eighth limited edition plate in 1978. No doubt the Three Wise Men inspired this charming vignette, based upon an original wood block which Sr. Berta created in 1928 as her own Christmas card. Each of the 3 angels has his own offering for the Christ Child--music, light and gifts. This plate measures approx. 8 inches tall and is in mint condition. Made in West Germany.
